Biography

Cathy's love affair with music began early. As the daughter of Salvation Army pastors, she could sing almost before she could talk. Shortly before her first birthday strains of "Happy Birthday to Me" could be heard coming from the crib. While helping her parents minister in inner city Toronto, Cathy's two great passions in life became music and working with disadvantaged children. Her path would see these two great loves combine into her life's vocation.

In the mid 1980's Cathy met and married a handsome young man in the church. It seemed that all her dreams were coming true. The young couple's life seemed full and complete as together they adopted four children with special needs.

They faced the challenges ahead with faith and optimism. The seas of life seemed calm and tranquil. Then unexpectedly a raging storm blew in, turning Cathy's life upside down and causing her marriage to come to a tragic end.

Cathy's faith became an anchor when at 28 she was left a single mom of four special needs children ages 2- 9, struggling to get by on mother's allowance. As the Savior carried her through, she enrolled in University studying child psychology . Today she works as a Program Manager and Camp Director for Sonshine Families, a Christian Foster Care Agency.

From the eye of the storm Cathy began to have opportunities to share in song and testimony to others with wounded hearts.

Blessed with the gift of communication, Cathy uses humour and her big voice to touch peoples hearts with laughter and tears. Her anointed ministry is helping her listeners to face their darkest days with perseverance and hope for the future.

Cathy has sung and shared her story in many churches in Canada, the Netherlands, Spain and Australia.

God has opened new doors of ministry with the production of Cathy's first CD, "SHELTER"

God has proven to Cathy that even when all hope seems lost, we are sheltered in the Master's hands.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
Psalm 139: 9,10
